Handle changes, cancellations and no-shows

Review customer change requests, cancel with the right fee, and settle a no-show.

Change requests

When a customer asks for a change from their portal or an email link, it does not apply itself. The request appears on the trip's detail page for you to approve or reject, because a new address or time usually changes the fare.

Cancellations

  1. Open the trip and cancel it.
  2. The fee is worked out from the tiers you set at /admin/settings/cancellation, based on how close to pickup you are.
  3. If the customer has a card on file, the fee charges automatically. If not, it stays as a balance owing.
  4. The customer gets a cancellation email. If a driver was assigned, they get one too, showing any compensation they are owed.

No-shows

The driver marks the no-show from the roadside, but that does not charge anything. It raises an alert on your side and leaves the fee for you to decide.

  1. You get an alert that a no-show fee is waiting for review.
  2. Open the trip and set the fee — your default comes from your cancellation settings, and you can change it.
  3. Confirm it. Only then does the customer's no-show email go out.
