Follow a trip from Pending to Settled

What each status means, who moves it, and what the customer is told.

Every reservation moves through a fixed set of statuses. You control the early ones; the driver moves the ones on the road.

DraftYouNothing — the trip is not live yet.
PendingYou, or an incoming bookingBooking received email.
ConfirmedYouConfirmation email. Pre-trip payment runs here.

SettledYou, or automaticallyReceipt and rating request, about an hour later.

Reminders go out automatically 24 hours and 2 hours before pickup. Cancelled and no-show have their own emails, covered in the next article.

A trip's detail page is the single place to see all of this — status, driver, vehicle, line items, payment state, refunds, notes, contract signature, and flight tracking if the pickup is an airport.
